About the Opportunity

Technology, Consulting, and Innovation (TC&I)

Our business is responsible for the largest network of Research & Development engineering laboratories across Europe, delivering projects from consultancy through to test rigs and prototypes. We are leading the way with our robotics team developing innovative solutions to access some of the most challenging environments for our clients. We work collaboratively with both colleagues and clients using the full breadth of our capability to provide the right answers to complex problems. Our teams work cross-sector; from hydrogen, fusion, AMR’s and SMR's through to supporting decommissioning, remediation, existing nuclear and non-nuclear infrastructure and defence.

We are currently seeking a Digital Programme Manager – Technology, Consulting and Innovation. Your core duties will fall into five broad categories:

  1. STRATEGY DEVLOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION

  2. PEOPLE ENGAGEMENT AND MANAGEMENT

  3. PROJECT DELIVERY

  4. CAPBILITY DEVLOPMENT AND GROWTH

  5. GROWTH

The Digital Programme Manager will be focused primarily on delivering Jacobs Digital Strategy within Technology, Consulting, and Innovation. The role provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop and influence the future growth of the business in a dynamic and agile team.

*Digital is harnessing the best of the internet era in terms of culture, new ways of working, disruptive business models, new technologies and data analytics techniques to develop solutions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • STRATEGY DEVLOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION - Responsible for laying the foundations for digital transformation and growth – involves strategy development and implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement and cultural acceleration

  • PEOPLE ENGAGEMENT AND MANAGEMENT – Requires significant internal Stakeholder Engagement, Relationship Management, and day to day management of small teams. Line manager for circa 5 staff

  • PROJECT DELIVERY - Accountable for the delivery of selective digital projects across Technology, Consulting, and Innovation; Current projects include (but are not limited to):

  • Digitisation of Birchwood Labs (process, equipment and facilities),

  • Business Optimisation Projects (tools and Processes),

  • Digital Sales & Marketing Material Development

  • CAPBILITY DEVLOPMENT AND GROWTH – Responsible for defining the requirements for of skills, capability and development programmes to get teams digitally enabled to deliver our growth ambitions

  • GROWTH – A forward looking leader and role model for Growth via embedding innovation, digital and technology solutions, delivering digital efficiencies and collaborating across Lines of Business for advance our Culture in a commercial delivery environment.

Here’s what you’ll need :

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of leading large scale digital transformation projects

  • This is a new role, so proactive, adaptive and resilience is necessary.

  • The role requires significant leadership, collaboration and stakeholder engagement, therefore must be experienced at achieving goals through the work of others as well as delivering outcomes themselves

  • Ability to influence and drive innovative solutions forward from identification and inception to successful outcomes

  • Strategic thinking, tactical management and growth mindset

  • Previous experience of collaborative consultancy, product enabled solutions, and innovative ideas sales and commercial models
