Amazon Business Customer Support (ABCS) is looking for a passionate Manager Business Intelligence Engineer to help build next generation metrics and drive business analytics that have measurable impact. You will contribute to the long-term vision for ABCS programs, conduct data analyses, identify high-impact opportunities for predictive analysis and business experimentation, improve data integrity, create metrics that fill knowledge gaps, model and visualize data patterns, support data reporting needs, and analyze the quantitative impact of business experiments and innovations. Additionally, this role will be instrumental in the continued development of a reliable and scalable infrastructure for ongoing analytics and reporting in order to deliver actionable insights to business leaders.

The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, thinking long-term, and have a passion for data, uncovering insights, and telling business stories to leaders and stakeholders through metrics and visualizations. You will be directly embedded in the business as a trusted partner informing strategy, tracking performance, and driving excellence. This role demands a high capacity to learn and be curious as we need to be constantly adapting to changes in our business and thinking about how we can bridge ambiguous business problems to actionable reporting and metrics. This also involves being up to speed with relevant tools and systems to help enable rapid iteration. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functional teams like Finance team, Engineering Team, Product and Program Managers and Operation managers.

You will work with a team of analytics professionals who are passionate about using machine learning to build automated systems and solve problems that matter to our customers. Your work will directly impact our customers and operations.

Key job responsibilities

• Uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that can materially improve ABCS business decisions.

• Apply data mining, quantitative analysis, and statistical models to understand how our customers interact with us and identify the best way to improve the customer experience and meet our goals.

• Engage with diversified customer groups to understand the needs and recommend end to end reporting solution

• Partner with CSBI (Data Engineering Team) to define the data elements and structure that the team should leverage to enable reporting capabilities.

• Design, implement, and support optimal self-service solutions that enable product and program managers to run ad-hoc analyses.

• Own the design, development, maintenance of reports/ dashboards (especially QuickSight) to driving key business decisions

• Communicate complex analyses and insights to stakeholders and AB CS business leaders, both verbally and in writing.

• Become a subject matter expert in AB CS data, and support all AB CS team members in dive deeps.

• Work closely with CSBI teams to ensure ABCS uses Globally alleged standard metrics and definition.

• Collaborate with finance, business to gather data and metrics requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL and ETL

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

  • Experience managing a data or BI team

  • Experience leading and influencing the BI strategy of your team or organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with very large data warehousing environment

  • Experience in data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding
