Amazon Network Flow Manager, Amazon Transportation Services in Berlin, Germany

Description

Amazon’s global transportation network is always evolving. As a Network Flow Manager, you’ll streamline and elevate our processes. You’ll work with management teams to help us meet a number of operational goals, touching on topics including productivity and technology. This dynamic role offers plenty of opportunities to continue learning every day.

Key job responsibilities

  • Engage with site operations on a daily basis to assess the supply and demand balance, and develop proactive strategies to address any imbalances that arise

  • Collaborate closely with end-to-end (E2E) teams to determine network needs and jointly implement innovative solutions to address them

  • Partner with Program and Tech teams to continuously improve technological solutions and drive operational efficiencies

  • Take ownership of key performance metrics such as Attainment, Speed, Packages per Hour (TPH), and Delivery Efficiency and Accuracy (DEA), and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement

  • Lead the centralization of intra-week labor and capacity management processes to enhance standardization and visibility

  • Design new processes and workflows to enable a more automated, hands-off capacity management system, reducing manual interventions

A day in the life

Every day, you’ll focus on our business objectives – from improving efficiency to increasing reliability – and find creative ways to make these happen. You’ll be part of a team driving major projects to standardise our processes and make improvements to our operations. That will involve being in regular contact with senior management and a wider group of stakeholders to define the project requirements and update them on status, risks, and impacts. You’ll also create communication plans to bring everyone up to speed with the new processes you implement.

As a Network Flow Manager, you’ll be the expert in charge of spotting the problems, seeing the gaps and inefficiencies, and creating solutions. Deep diving into data will help you find those challenges and keep track of the effectiveness of your improvements.
